The award helped me out tremendously. I was able to pay for books and put some money towards my student bill. You all gave me the ability to focus on my work instead of worrying about how I was going to purchase my books for each semester. I am currently preparing for my second year at Winston-Salem State University as an exercise science major.
Thank you for this opportunity. What you all are doing is something that transcends beyond the recipients!!

The Sheltia S. Murray Scholarship Fund was created to assist Rutherford county graduating high school seniors promote their academic excellence. The proud parents of Sheltia S. Murray stated, “So many people supported and encouraged Sheltia throughout her collegiate career, and this scholarship is an opportunity to honor and celebrate her life legacy.”
