Shelita S. Murray Scholarship Board

This board has many responsibilities individually as well as collectively. The scholarship board publicizes the scholarship, accepts and reviews scholarship applications, and makes their recommendations of winners.

The board shall attend board meetings.

President:

The President is responsible for providing leadership, representation, and long-range planning for the scholarship board. The President oversees and ensures that the board adheres to the mission and objectives of the Sheltia S. Murray Scholarship Fund.

Vice President:

The Vice President shall perform the same duties as the president in the absence of the President. The Vice President is responsible for assisting the President in long-range

planning and ensuring the board adheres to the missions and objectives.

Treasurer

The Treasurer shall be responsible for all monies of the Sheltia S. Murray Scholarship Fund, shall have custody of the funds, and other assets until deposited. The Treasurer has the responsibility of reporting all funds deposited and withdrawn. The Treasurer shall report the financial condition of the scholarship fund and report at regular meetings.

Secretary

The Secretary provides the board with notices of meeting times and places and requests contributions of items for the agenda. The Secretary, in consultation with the President, prepares agendas for board meetings. These agendas, along with any supporting documentation, are distributed by the Secretary to members in advance of the meetings. After meetings, the Secretary prepares full minutes of the meeting.
